East Linn Christian Academy was founded in 1982 by Harold and Dorothy Grove in 1982. Each having past careers in education, Harold and Dorothy had a deep desire to see children educated in an environment that valued a biblical worldview. Their vision was to equip young men and women spiritually and intellectually to live out their God-given calling. With this mission in mind, East Linn Christian Academy was established as a covenant Christian school. From the beginning, staff, parents, and students were expected to demonstrate their commitment to the Christian faith by sharing their personal testimony and providing evidence of their involvement in a Bible-believing church. As a community the staff, parents and students all serve and labor together to provide a quality formational education experience for each student. This level of commitment from all parties is viewed as essential to the success of each student and continues to this day.

In its history, the school has faced transitions in leadership, weathered difficult economies, and managed to stay united during several construction projects and relocations. Today, the school still remains united as it navigates the COVID-19 pandemic. Through it all, the most important thing has always remained constant, equipping saints for the work of the ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:12-15).

Now more than ever, as we face a culture that is becoming increasingly hostile toward the Christian faith, we seek God to sustain our ministry for generations to come.
