Thank you for looking into East Linn Christian Academy as an option for your high school education and life experience. Our school is located in the mid-Willamette Valley just outside Lebanon, Oregon. We are an hour away from the Santiam Mountain Range, which provides opportunities for skiing, snowboarding and hiking in the winter; the Pacific Ocean where you can enjoy whale watching, fishing and wind surfing year round.

East Linn Christian Academy welcomed our first international students in 2008. Since then we have had the privilege of serving students from the Philippines, China, Korea, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan. Our vision is to embrace Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15 by welcoming students from around the world, helping them to grow in English, and becoming more familiar with American tradition and culture. As international students participate in our high school academic and extra-curricular programs, they provide authentic diversity and global awareness development for our student body which enhances a core value (discipleship) here at ELCA. As an international student, you will be placed with a qualified host family who can provide additional support to you during your intercultural journey.

We hope you will consider attending East Linn Christian Academy. We offer a supportive setting where students can grow academically and personally. Our teachers care and provide a challenging education from a Biblically based worldview. We also offer small classes where students receive individual teacher attention. You will grow in English, academics, and personal friendships while attending ELCA. You may also choose to participate in our sports program. East Linn Christian Academy graduates are accepted at recognized public and private universities and colleges throughout the United States.

East Linn Christian Academy does offer ESOL classes for international students. However, we do ask students to pass the SLEP test with a score of at least 50 (or TOEFL of 58) which is submitted with the applications. All international students are expected to carry a full course load and perform at the comparable grade level of an American student fulfilling all academic requirements.
